Another excellent painting, great balance, colour, movement; focal point. Think I can feel the wind too. Thanks for the comments on my Cumbrian landscapes. How large is this?

Ah, knew there was something I'd forgotten; it's 28cm x 38cm, on Bockingford Rough. Thanks for kind comment; my pictures seem to be getting darker (in tone, rather than subject matter.... dunno why!

nice one ...I like the way you have used darks ,to give the hill a light touch of sunshine . great one ..

Another beautiful painting! like the light coming from behind the hill. Lot of contrast in this one.

I like the contrast between the sunshine on the hill and the dark details in the foreground. The red and yellow grasses accentuate the dark greens and make the whole painting more brilliant and lively.

Complex perspective which cleverly heightens the drama and tension of the coming storm - a good balance achieved by bringing the painting alive with the light on the hill and also acting as a focal point. Your bushes and foliage always look very wet and windswept - a great style.

Your beautiful style shines through Robert, lovely painting, with great texture.

I've done just this, and usually not quite fast enough! Lovely contrasts, and I think your sky here particularly good.

A wonderfully atmospheric painting; it's all been said....... just love it.

Its a smasher Robert. I think it has all been said.

Like this one too. Especially the dark sky,.

Having another look around your lovely gallery. I love this one- it makes you feel the atmosphere suggested by the title. Thank you for your lovely comment too.

So beautiful, Robert. Wish I was there ! I feel I could walk right into it !

Hi Robert. This is a great painting. I really like the composition, and the way the colours move from warm at the left to cooler on the right, and then leading us into the background. Lovely marks and it's very atmospheric too. My kind of picture. I like Peter Brooks' art, which always featured him and his dog. Do you know of him? He also normally captured a special atmosphere, for me. Thank you very much for your always considered comments on my postings.
