How wonderful to keep this painting going, Marjorie! I think I must try something along those lines, too!

Some lively brush marks Marjorie, more will breeze in through that window no doubt.

It looks great right now. But nice to have a 'go-back-to' painting.

Beautifully blue!

When I first painted this it had pomegranates instead of anemones. I think the palette at the moment is too blueish….are we ever satisfied? Thanks David, John and Lewis.😄 oh, and I wish it could be “ looser” 😬😵‍💫

Linda, you hit the nail on the head!

This is really well done Marjorie 🙂

A lovely painting Marjorie- not too blue at all- and that vase at the back is beautiful.

A lovely study in blue, Marjorie - it will be interesting to see how this evolves!

I like just the blueish palette, Marjorie!

Thanks everyone - I’m probably being too critical as usual! It’ll stay around until I feel the urge again 😆

Very attractive painting Marjorie.

This is beautiful Marjorie-

It’s lovely Marjorie. Hamster next.

Oh, yeah, got it!😂

To paraphrase one of my profs., sometimes it takes 2 artists to paint a picture. One to paint it, and one to tell the first when it was finished...consider me the second. It looks great.

I think it is finished Marjorie. Love it, especially the beautiful blue/purples in the flowers.

Skylar, Sandra and Hayley - thank you. I’ve got a bit of a love/ hate relationship going with this.😁

I think it's lovely and I really like the blueness!

I think its lovely, and finished.

Mainly fab in my opinion. The rim of the ginger jar just sings. If I’m being really critical I’m not keen on the scissors

Fascinating to have a painting that you return to and alter over time. Have you taken photos of its different lives? It would be interesting to see and the extent of your changes. It’s lovely at this stage, and I don’t think too blue, but your view may be influenced by knowing the previous stages.

It’s interesting to hear objective crit. I think I feel the same about the scissors - they’re too big, a bit ugly. I think I’ll reposition them and reduce the size. Thanks everyone.

Super painting Marjorie, I love the blue. Only problem I see with the scissors is that they look a bit 'Dali' ish.

Ha ha, yes, I see what you mean Lynn.

Well I really like the 'blueness' Marjorie - new word I reckon!

Totally get that! I do exactly the same occasionally! This is lovely now, though...maybe finished!!!

Thanks Russell Thalia and Spencer…..no, not finished yet🥹

Had missed this Marjorie but after seeing the later painting, realise what you were saying about the scissors. The later painting is much improved with the absence of the scissors. However, this painting is also incredibly appealing.

The title is because this painting has been around for ages and every so often I put more paint on it or change things around, add colour etc. I just wanted to use paint this afternoon so I just enjoyed myself. Where it will go next, who knows?
