Katy, I did it on a black surface ( mdf and black gesso. Black makes oil pastels “ sing”).

Super job with oil pastels Marjorie. Lovely to grow something from seed then record it in your painting. I admire the complementary colours and strong shapes with the sunlight filtering through.
