Thanks Paul. I don’t have many oil pastel colours, just a small Sennelier box so I had to make do.

Really love the limited colours and your whole composition Marjorie.

Beautifully painted Marjorie. I can recognise your work too especially when you have that gorgeous light reflecting through the glass jar as you did with 'The Glass Collector.'

Beautifully painted Marjorie, lovely combination of colours.

Lovely and that glass jar is a tour de force!

Very well done Marjorie.

Lovely colours and reflection perfect Marjorie,

Many thanks everyone. I meant to do a version in soft pastels but came across a half finished study so did that instead. Whether anyone will recognise him….?

Love the way the flowers seem to float Marjorie. Quite a challenge using oil pastels but the result is very beautiful and textural.

Thanks Carole. The white is the one which gets used most. Hardly any left!

Beautiful! I can almost smell them!

Love all the shadows and highlights of the flowers and the glass with its wonderful dark shadow

Looking at my sweet peas this morning and felt a painting coming on. This is a beauty Marjorie.

I love sweet peas, their perfume is wonderful.

This has been a good year for sweet peas. Shame you have to pick them to encourage more I always feel because they don’t last. But they are the prettiest of garden flowers. Thank you Christine, Faye, Linda, Diana, Sylvia and Ellen.

Love how you have used the oil pastel here Marjorie, I’m hopeless with it! Didn’t do any sweet peas this year.

Fiona, one oil pastel I’ve got is “neutral”, looks like candlewax. It’s a big help as a base or in between layers because it helps the other colours to adhere better and it makes them “glide” better. I’m getting to like them…would love the bigger sticks…on the point of ordering some.

Gorgeous painting

Beautiful flowers, Marjorie!

Grazie Cesare. Spero che tu e Silvia stiano amigliorando!
