It’s lovely, Marjorie, great light in the river and definite haze in the distance.

What a delight to see this lovely scene Marjorie. Have spent so many happy hour in this area and you have done it great justice. Thank you.

Thank you both - glad you recognise it Carole.

Superb painting Marjorie, the light is brilliant.

I do like this composition Marjorie, just my thing in fact… Very nicely done, and the haze in the distance! Hope you managed to negotiate that entry form… nightmare!

This is quite beautiful! Well Done.

Beautiful work, Marjorie.

Stephen, Alan, Sarah and Skylar - thanks very much. Alan, I haven’t entered yet…

Beautifully captured

Absolutely stunning such a beautiful painting, the shade areas and the reflections on the water are beautifully done.

Lovely painting Marjorie. I particularly like the little shaft of sunlight at the end of the path.

Okay… not long to go now. Any issues, I can probably help!

You have caught the feeling well Marjorie. I can really sense myself walking down that pathway..

Thanks once again for all your lovely comments. Alan, I’ll have a go tomorrow morning, I’m using an ipad as I’ve always done. Hope I won’t have to resize.

Max is 5 mb, but I had JPEGs at 3.6mb that wouldn’t get accepted! When you’ve finished, that’it! You don’t send it over, there’s no send button…as we’re used to doing… they just access it from their end! I’ve emailed them so many times I think I’ve covered every eventuality.

Really beautiful Marjorie!

I want to walk this path and experience all I can see in your gorgeous painting Marjorie.

Superb, Marjorie with that beautiful light- I used to love walking along the river many years ago!

Hey Marjorie.

Absolutely delightful Marjorie, wish I was walking there.

Many thanks Sarah, Fiona, Anne, Chris and Sandra! The walk continues round, Warkworth Castle on the left and beyond the “ haze”, bearing right is a hermitage, a stone room reached by crossing the river in a boat. Amazing to imagine what must have happened here so many years ago.

The water and reflections, that lovely sunlit highlight on the path and grass as you turn the corner, the sun shining through the trees and the haze in the distance all superbly rendered - a glorious painting Marjorie and surely very much a contender for a Patching's award.

You have perfectly captured the hazy light, what a wonderful painting Marjorie

Well you definitely caught the haze Marjorie. Lovely work

Wow, this is just beautiful !!

It’s a beautiful walk along the river which you’ve expressed so well. Fab light and reflections

Great atmospheric depth and sense of being there, with a left turn promising sunshine. Beautiful. Love the colours on the path too

You have definitely caught the hazy light Marjorie and it's a beautiful painting.

Superb, Marjorie, in every respect

You've really caught the hazy light and the stillness of the water.

Thank you very much, all of you, for your positive comments. 😀
