Such precision with your lovely, loose, charcoal drawing. Love it Marjorie.

Nicely done indeed Marjorie.

Very Nice Work!

Thanks Carole, Chris, Stephen and Skylar - it was a nice break from doing “jobs”, a bit of sun before the weather changes tomorrow!

Lovely work Marjorie!

Lovely charcoal Marjorie

Great drawing; very atmospheric.

So different foryou Marjorie. Like it.

Extremely good Marjorie

A very fine drawing.

I don’t like the reductive approach personally, I can’t get into it somehow… But you’ve done a good job here Marjorie, the end result was obviously worthwhile! Dare I say… lacking strong tonal values perhaps!

Thanks for looking and commenting everyone - yes Alan, I know..I thought about more work on it ( it took half an hour ) but decided to leave it as it is, a quickie.

I like this very much Majorie, I like the idea of reductive charcoal too; I haven't tried it for years but I know I enjoyed it!

Very good Marjorie and I also enjoy using the reductive approach.

Interesting technique Marjorie.

I like this technique Marjorie, I was introduced to it by Davy Brown. I found it fit very well with the subject matter……car parts on a scrap heap! Love what you have done here, it’s added a little mystery to the subject.

I don’t particularly draw in a linear way, I suppose I go straight to the forms ( although I have of course made linear drawings). I think I also paint like this on the whole. Once you establish the lights and the composition it’s a very fast method, probably why I like it.

Great drawing, I like it!

Half an hour well spent Marjorie! I like the method. It stops the fight with the white and filling in the gaps.

Not bad for a quick composition! Well done.

Very good drawing Marjorie.
