My take on Hockney

Thanks everyone - I have a Hockney calendar, bought at Salt’s Mill in Saltaire, Yorkshire. Lots of his work is there - this painting is of course from his time in L.A.

Thanks Ellen, Alan, Fred and Linda. I like Hockney, like that he is always moving forward. He’s certainly not an artist who sticks to a “ winning formula”. I also like his down to earth dry sense of humour ( at least from what I’ve seen on programmes about him).

Fantastic use of colour

You should really ring mr Hockney and tell him you are copying his style Marjorie. I have permission by all the artists I copy from ,and they are quite happy as long as I don’t sell them. So stop trying to bully me nosey Rosie.
