Love the reflections and the muted effect, Marjorie

Almost has a watercolour feel to this subtle oil painting. Has a very tranquil quality.

This draws you in - like you have discovered a secret place.

Lovely soft feel to it..and I agree with all the comments. Particularly the secret place feel about it.

Beautiful soft colours and delicate palette, Marjorie.

Ethereal is the word! It's a beautiful painting - yes, I can see why you might want to tweak it, but it stands in its own right as a finished piece; I'm really surprised that this is an oil - well, of course I knew it was because I've followed your WIP, but if I hadn't.... I might even have assumed it was a pastel, or as Stephen Slater suggests, a watercolour. It's wonderfully delicate - a very unusual technique, and incredibly sensitive touch with the brush.

Thanks for all these comments everyone. As for tweaking, I think maybe some of the upper leaves need to be darkened - not all, maybe like the ones on the left. Do you agree?

So soft and sensitive, love the mistiness.

Lovely quiet feel to this Marjorie.

Really good. Love the water.

Lovely subtle palette Marjorie.

I like the paleness of yet a rich palette that is so atmospheric.

Oil on square canvas. You can see how I tackled this on WIP on the forum. Yet again, after a while, I'll probably tweak it.
