Lol brilliant!! Your so good. So much to look at and detailed. Love it all of it. Just amazes me it's from your imagination. So clever 👏

Wonderfully done Lewis, thats the life isn't it, love all the colour a feast for the eyes.

Grandad looks very happy indeed, another great painting Lewis and challenge well met

Love this colourful, festive painting, Lewis - and the narrative that goes with it.

Excellent Lew , superb artwork, and great humour, when I get notification that you have posted , it’s a bit like opening a present , waiting to see what’s inside. The great thing is it’s never a present that you look at and say “ thank you “ and in your mind your say what the hell , yours are always good presents.

Wonderful thought and painting.

An enviable situation Lewis and super painting that oozes with a story.

Wonderful narrative, as well as superb pictorial skills. So entertaining Lewis. You are amazing.

Thanks very much to everybody for your comments on this whimsy. Yes Denise, like you I'd just dabbled with the Zorn Palette (although I didn't finish it)...so this pic was my reaction to that. Loud, loud colour, I don't care about realism.

Lovely warmth and humour !

Superb detail as always Lew. A drop of sherry and some cherry liqueur chocs maybe.. I wonder what his favourite books are..?

A picture of contentment! So well done!

Brilliantly observed and drawn as always Lewis, fabulous attention to detail, the expression on the gent's face is wonderful.

Just brilliant, Lewis.

It is perfect!😀

Nothing wrong with Port and Jazz. Can I join him and have break from Ho,Ho,Ho ! Another super one Lewis. A great addition to Men in Sheds.

Nothing wrong with Port and Jazz ! You never cease to give a laugh and appreciation of your skills.

Thanks again to everybody for your kind comments.

Well deserved rest— great.

So is there a paraffin heater in the corner to toast his toes? Love the mouldy cheese.

I know that feeling, Lewis! Excellent as usual!

Amen! I need my shed!

I got this idea from the December Challenge. No matter how much you enjoy the festivities, there comes a time when a few moments doing your own thing becomes very attractive. For this example you need a WARM shed.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
