A really good portrait, Heather. Most of my own hair didn't last much beyond my 30s and, along with my beard, the remainder turned white. However, I was never as good looking as your husband! Well painted.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. For some reason the photo has come out with a white background but it's actually a pale blue with white brushmarks as per the bottom of the painting!

Oil painting 50 cm x 50 cm. This is a painting of my husband when he was a young man taken from an old rather poor quality photo. He wanted me to paint this because he's now bald and those lovely good looks and strong blue eyes are somewhat faded ... how time flies!

Heather Love

I started to paint in 2018 . I started with acrylics and now use only oils and mainly canvas on board. Most of my portraits are 38 cms x 60 cms or thereabouts. Am still on a big learning curve but really enjoying the process and discovering new techniques very step of the way! I go to art class…
