Perfect watercolour, lovely brushwork, like this a lot Fiona

Lovely sketch, Fiona. (I especially like the strong blacks against the warm colours.)

Caught my eye right off Fiona. Nice work indeed. Simplicity personified.

I like it too, it’s fresh and simple and somehow uplifting these stormy days. Fiona, I have painted a tractor and was thinking of you on your fields. Since you once drove over a print or something, I associate tractors with you! I’ll post it shortly .

Like the colour palette here Fiona. Are you actually lambing?

love it Fiona, the colors are so right and the sketchy broken lines especially on the main trees are just great, they say the trees are old, allows your mind to work, nice one. Like yourself I have not been contributing painting wise but I did post one the other day finally after getting away from the pyrography.

Been very soggy here too Fiona but not seen any soggy lambs yet. Your painting and palette sums up the recent weather perfectly.

Lovely, Fiona! You have captured the D&G countryside beautifully :)

Lovely watercolour, Fiona - like the palette and the simplicity.

Very lovely painting Fiona, thought you must have emigrated lol, haven't seen you for ages!

Cracked it again Fiona a beauty

Love this, Fiona, the colours shine and their's a lengthy depth into the landscape.

Thank you David, you’re very kind. Many thanks Jenny Jim, thank you, appreciate your comment. Haha....yes I remember that Satu, it was my first attempt at doing an etching....before I invested in a press. It was the heaviest thing I could think of to make an impression. Thank you. Thanks Tessa. No I’m not lambing, I don’t have sheep anymore....there are lambs out in neighbouring fields. Malcolm, thank you very much for your comment, very much appreciated. I like doing trees, especially as you say, old bare trees. Thanks Val! You’ve probably got a couple of weeks for lambs were you are I would think. In the highlands they didn’t lamb until the end of April.

Caroline, Michael, Margaret, Maureen, Margaret....lol, wouldn’t mind somewhere a bit warmer! Many thanks Dennis and Willie for your lovely comments.

Nice one Fiona. Such good brush work and I love the colours here. As for the sogginess, we have meadows at the bottom of our garden (yes, near Manchester) and today they are actually flooded. We have a huge lake. No soggy lambs though :)

Lovely Fiona. Your charming style and palette. I’ve been wondering about your absence. Do more please.

I love watercolour used like this. So clean, fresh and descriptive. Lovely!

Love the black and warm contrasts Fiona.

Have I missed a few of yours, if I have this simple and effective offering is very good.

Thank you very much Louise (we’ve had more rain today) Michael, I’ll try and do a bit more, thank you. Diana, you are always so kind thanks very much. Sandra, many thanks for your comment, not only on this one but all the other recent comments, appreciated. Thanks Richard, no you haven’t missed any I haven’t been posting much lately.

So have we Fiona. The flood has gone down a bit and now there are loads of noisy seagulls gathering over the water! The forecast for the end of the week is better :)

Lovely watercolour brilliant brushwork.

Are the gulls scaring off your garden birds Louise? I’m re-designing one part of my garden....when I can get in it that is....but with all the rain we’ve been having I hadn’t realised it had started to look like a World War One battlefield. Such a mess! Thank you very much Brian!

The seagulls have all gone now Fiona. It was quite a sight as they aren't birds that we see here often. Certainly not in such numbers. They'll have been feeding probably from floaty bits of things in the water. The garden birds are fine! Your garden is a summer job. Most jobs are and then before you know it, it's winter again..lol

Nice to see your work again Fiona. Lovely loose darks. ? Neutral tint, Sepia as a base hue. Foreground lead in to the gate works well.

Many thanks Alan, appreciate you taking the time to comment.
