blimey Picasso Phipps!great colour scheme David Harrison

That was quick David...LOL! Gosh it was fidley....and I can't stand it...lol...but thank you for your comment!

Time consuming maybe, but definitely worth the effort - a striking image that jumps off the gallery page. .

Fiona watch out I'm following you David Harrison

Brill. Love to see your versatility coming to the fore. A great abstract, colour choice and clean lines.. Variety is the spice of life. Really well done Fiona.

Julie, it's given me a headache...lol...thank you. David...that could be dangerous to your sense of good taste!lol Thank you very much Helen, Andre.....for your very kind and generous comment.

To me this is the abstract Fiona but I prefer the other one! It's more "you". You've got me worried now, I'll have to get out of my comfort zone I think.

Another clever concept and so well thought out, I rally do like both of them Fiona.

That's the one Fiona! Well done for perceviering ( not sure about the spelling ), it's fantastic!!

Beautifully done, Fiona! The shapes have a wonderful sense of energy.

Your studies with oils really shines here Fiona with surface and colour

Worth the effort. I love both. This is the hard-edged one and other is gorgeously fluid.

This is real abstract Fiona, you have pulled this off well!

I think this is technically the better painting - the lines are sharper to start with. But - as said, I like both of them. It would have taken me longer than all afternoon if I were using oil; partly that's to do with the eyesight problem I've got, but I think it'd be a struggle anyway even with perfect vision and a rock-steady hand. Point is, did you enjoy it, or did it turn into a labour? It doesn't look as if it did.

Marjorie, you're comfortable in any zone, thank you. Alan and Satu...thank you very much, glad you approve.

Wib, Dennis, Gudrun, Carole...many thanks for your support and feedback. Thank you Robert for your observations, you always hit the nail on the head....no I didn't enjoy doing it, to be honest. I found it laborious, fiddley and took far too much time. I don't have the kind of patience to do this kind of work but I think it's a lesson in appreciating the work of artists that choose this style of art.

Nice abstract painting, Fiona. New path in your art.

It's very nice but I really like your natural sstyle better its great fun to play around and some love this style but I am not a great lover of hard edged shapes don't be angry at me though Fiona I love your work and I look forward to seeing you back to the other paintings .agh I'm scared now.

Thank you Cesare...only a short interlude to my usual style, thank goodness. Dennis, you made me laugh....don't be scared, I agree with you. It was a challenge that I had to meet and I will be back to my normal scruffy painting today!!! Infact I think I will try your idea of looking at a painting/photo for 10 mins then painting it with no other reference. Thank you for your comment.

I like both versions but this is my favourite Fiona, love the shapes, colours and design, it's brilliant and so different for you!

This is definitely an abstract, both great, but of the two I prefer the other one. This one is too angular and "hard" for me, I prefer something a little "softer".

Thanks very much Christine! Me too Val, thank you for your comment.

Wow, Fiona this is terrific and I have enjoyed watching the progression of this theme.

You're very kind Sarah, thank you!

A great use of shapes - superb.

It was worth the effort, Fiona! I really love the juxtaposition of shapes and the rather art deco-ish geometric shapes and bold colors. Fabulous!

Thank you Michael and Seok, very much.

It's very effective and dramatic , I really like it .... I turned it upside down and sideways and it's equally interesting

Lol...thanks Dermot!
