Beautiful Fiona a great experience

Ha ha - I expect you plug it in and the door flies open Fiona! A terrific lot of texture here.

Love the colours, line work and textures, great 😃

Great colours and yes the textures are great. Are your projects from your photos or are they "on site" ?

Thanks Dennis! That could be it Adele, you’ve discovered a new automatic door system...make sure you register it. Thanks very much for your comment. Thank you Linda. Both Richard, I did a pencil and pastel sketch on site and also took a couple of photos. Most of the stuff I’m doing for this project is based on the same....sketches and reference photos. I find it difficult to work from photos to be honest, I prefer to work from sketches. Sometimes, if I don’t have either but just remember a scene....I make it up as I go along...lol Thanks very much for your interest.

Colours and textures just lovely.

Interesting effects here Fiona and I like those spots of colour against the blues. The black lines are well positioned and I imagine a lot of thought went in to this. The 'plug' as you call it actually gives the work a focal point.

Muck into art Fiona. It’s the couple of bright highlights that that black thing, the automatic door knob make it sing. I turned it upside down and I like it even more.

Thanks very much Andre! Thank you Louise, there were several layers of ink went on to build up the depth of colour and highlights, a bit of scrubbing and a few marks with the oil pastels. Phaffed about with the ink for the black lines....and before you know it, a complete mess! Lol I do enjoy the mess making though. John it hasn’t occurred to me to look at it the other way up, I’m off to try it, thanks.

Some interesting textures going on here Fiona. Looks to be ready for a drop of paint!. I suppose that it would have been nice if there had been and old rusted padlock and ironwork, but there wasn't. I like the black line-work which picks out some of the shapes.

This is different, Fiona, love the colour combination. (It also looks interesting viewed landscape - like something on wheels on a wet runway!)

Thanks very much Alan, I’ve been putting paint to canvas for the final instalment. Many thanks Jenny, I’ll go and tip it on it’s side and have a look!

You made me laugh with the high tech security plug! Great painting Fiona!

Lol...thank you Satu!

Something intriguing about this Fiona: looking forward to the next stage! Like your colours and the way you work, also as you say you don’t like working from photos: all good!

Tessa thank you very much for your feedback and encouraging comment. I’m nearly at the end of this particular journey. Working on my final piece, in oils, just the odd bit to touch up.

Strong and bold. Wonderful textures and palette.

Thank you very much Avril!

12x10 mixed media, blue Quink ink, Indian ink and oil pastel on watercolour paper. After the full image of the blue doors I thought I would concentrate on just a portion of one of the doors. I admired the hi tec security measures on the doors, looks like an old kettle flex, complete with plug!
