Good colours Fiona, beautifully blended.

Deliciously macabre, Fiona, with great colours. The toppled stone adds to the feeling of dereliction. Eerie stuff. Bri

Nice freedom of colour and brush, Fiona. You should be pleased.

Like the colours of the headstones Fiona. Really looking forward to the oil version.

You've been adventurous with the colours Fiona and I love it. Can't wait to see the oil.

this is lovely Fiona! beautiful colours

Like your colours Fiona, it looks fine, nice and bright 😀

Thank you very much Carole, Brian, Willie, Carol, Val, Margaret and Linda. Really appreciate your feedback, I haven’t strayed too far away from the colours I’ve used here, especially the head stones, in the oil. I’ve used more neutrals in the oil though.

Its looking great Fiona, love those colours.

Good choice of colours , love the headstones.Simple and effective .

Looking good Fiona. You managed to un-tape your stuck together paint brushes then? :)

Nice bold use of colour.

Like your colour blends Fiona.

This is a nice bright piece Fiona well done

Thank you very much Lesley, Pete, Annick, Louise....yes, until the next time, I enjoyed the experiment and I’m sure I’ll try it again.....Stephen, Sandra and Dennis.

It's quite an interesting design, a strong play on shapes and so on Fiona. I remember a very good pencil drawing with gravestones, but not this scene, unless I'm confused! Make sure the 3D profile of the stones is correct, the middle one looks a bit iffy! Also continue the light source that you have on the buildings to the stones (the R/h edges would be in shadow). Detail I know but vital... Good job though in spite of all my nit-picking!

Great spontaneity and colours. I especially love the arches and chimneys.

Just love the colours you have used !! Really great!!

Simple but super Fiona. Great composition.

Great colour and depth Fiona 👍🏻

Great leaning gravestone and "subdued" background.

Thank you very much Dennis It’s the same scene Alan, I’ve left out the twiggy trees but generally everything else is in the same place. This sketch was just a familiarisation with colour and shapes. Regarding light source, there wasn’t any, everything was flat and grey. The oil sketch is pretty much all grey with the strong colour in the foreground. Thanks Al. Thank you very much Carole and Linda.

Many thanks Tessa, Rachel, and Richard much appreciated.

Marvellous colours Fiona, I remember the pencil sketch and look forward to seeing the oil version.

Thank you Margaret, I think the pencil sketch is the best so far.

12”x10” watercolour on Arches. A watercolour sketch of a pencil sketch I posted a few weeks ago, this was a practice run before the oil painting. No detail in this one and there isn’t too much detail in the oil either really. I’ve concentrated on shapes at this stage. Terrible light for picture taking!
