Obviously every minute counts Fiona! It's a great way to concentrate on the most important parts of the sketch. Lovely!

A great sketch Fiona, especially in such a short time!

Great spontaneous sketch Fiona, often the best kind.

Fiona, I admire your ability to do quick sketches. I frequently use my camera to capture components of what later may be built into a composition of some sort - I jokingly call this my electronic sketchbook.

Superb sketch!!! Really captures the moment

Super fast work, Fiona! Great observation!

Nice little sketch this. 👌

Sarah, Alita, Jim, Wib....I use my iPhone sometimes to make quick sketches if I haven’t got paper and pencil..... Rachel, Thalia, Alan thank you all very much. I enjoyed just scribbling even though it was raining.

I do admire your quick sketches Fiona, great to be able to do this for future references in your paintings and a lovely subject 😀

superb fluid sketch Fiona you've captured the moment perfectly

You got down what counted Fiona.

Thank you very much Linda, David and Marjorie appreciate your feedback.

Am unsure if I have seen any of your "people" sketches if not let's see more !

Great sketch Fiona, love the dog!

Captures the subject perfectly, especially the dog

No Richard you won’t have seen many, if any at all! The reason being I’m pretty useless at people...lol. Thank you for being so kind x Satu, thanks very much.....the dog was a pointer and it was quivering with excitement! Thank you very much Paul!

Really good sketch Fiona.

So well observed Fiona. Sometimes the quick ‘uns are the most successful!

Aww beautiful drawing Fiona.

Great stuff Fiona and I love the inclusion of the dog.

Great shapes in this lovely sketch Fiona, as Thalia said, great observation!

Dorothy, Carole, Tessa, Frank and Margaret thank you very much for your comments, always appreciated.

You have really captured the stance of the man and his friend!

Sketchbook and sepia ink pen. I sometimes go out with the photography group that my husband is a member of, this months visit was to Kirkcudbright. It was a dreary, dismal day with the odd shower of rain. This chap and his crabbing pal were lining for crab off the harbour wall....a very quick sketch of a couple of minutes. I have to be quick or else I get left behind!
