Another lovely bold image, Fiona.

Wow...a striking image. Excellent.

Another Super link cut !

Excellent lino print Fiona, lots of character and an evil eye!

Many thanks Jenny, Lewis, Richard, Alan for your continued encouraging comments.

Not done one of these for years. This is great Fiona, you are inspiring me .

Oh yes Sylvia, please have a go! We don’t get many on the gallery, perhaps it could be a challenge for the future. Thank you for commenting.

Great lino cut

This is so clever, must take a long while Fiona?

Many thanks Heather. Thanks very much Carole. It’s a bit of a faff to start with, I usually draw/sketch the image then use a coloured carbon paper to transfer on to the Lino. If there’s chance that I will get confused with what should be white and black.....which is probably all the time.....I shade in the areas I want to keep black. I then cut out all the bits not shaded, I still make mistakes because I can’t get my head around the negative and positive areas.....I’m rubbish at reversing as well....there must be a connection. Lol. The more that need cutting out the longer it takes, as in this one. From doing the initial sketch to printing the final proof, it took a couple of hours.

Fascinating lino cut, Fiona, reminiscent of negative painting. Strong image. Black and white are very effective.

I do like a good lino-cut Fiona; and this IS a good lino-cut.

Thank you Ruth, I still get back to front even with just the black and white. Many thanks for your comment John, and for the compliment on the print.

Another Lino cut, this time of the head of an Osprey. It’s a Christmas card for a friend of mine who I help on the Moss reserve, where we have Ospreys nesting in the summer. It isn’t very Christmassy but I know he will appreciate it, he loves the Ospreys. I’ve printed his print on cream handmade paper, this one is the proof, on plain white paper.
