Young Willow by Fiona Phipps
Watercolour and graphite sketch of a Willow coming into leaf. It stands on an island in Swan Loch and is probably self seeded. The slight blush of pink is from the cherry tree on the opposite bank. When out sketching, I’m trying to gather only the basics of information, looking back at it, I can recall the rest of information to work it up, if necessary. I’m enjoying these loose sketches.
