Bleeding Sun

Beautiful colours Fiona , the black acrylic ink looks really good against the paler colour.

This is fab Fiona! I love your use of red with the black inks. I’m thinking no lack of inspiration/ideas here?!

Such a delicate explosion of swirling colours that are so pretty and arresting Fiona.

A lovely array of colours!!

Love the blended delicate tones in this one, Fiona

Wonderful Fiona.

Lovely colour mix.

Beautiful love it 😍❤️

Different. I like it. (It reminds me a little bit of Ralph Steadman's work...he of the bursting ink blots.)

Thank you very much Paul, Tessa, Carole, David, Thalia, Denise, Stephen, Faye, Val, Lewis for your generous and encouraging comments. This, along with the similar painting posted previously, were done as a little experimentation with the Liquitex Acrylic Inks which I was asked to review. I've never used these kind of inks before.....needed to start somewhere! Thanks again.

Wow! Super work Fiona. The black acrylic is so effective against the other colours.

Looks like you enjoyed your experiment Fiona.

Very expressive Fiona, I can recognise your “ marks” here - I like that little bit of purple oil pastel along the centre. Incidentally, your article with Alan was very interesting, fascinating how all those subtle colours can be made from the gathering of plants and seeds.

Looks interesting Fiona, like a fire over a river. Inks are a whole new world of discovery - may add some to my Christmas list!

Your blending and line work always fascinate me Fiona. Beautifully done.

This is interesting, Fiona, lovely colours and marks.

Thanks you Spencer, glad you like it. It was a discovery Diane……thank you. Marjorie thanks very much. It’s very satisfying to make art materials from the beginning, and inks are easy. I don’t think I would go down the road of grinding pigments and binding etc for oils or watercolour…..waste of painting time! Glad you found it interesting. Many thanks Sarah. If you are set on inks and you’re going for Liquitex, have a look at their muted range. I reviewed the Essential range the colours are challenging! You are very kind Brian, thank you. Thanks very much Coral! Jenny thank you. As I mentioned in my write up, I’ve never used anything like these inks before, I was trying to get a feel for them.

That's a lovely, satisfying piece of work Fiona and I love it.

Wow… this caught my eye immediately, Fiona. I love it, it’s one of those paintings I wished I’d painted myself.

Very eye catching Fiona, I love the little touches of purple.

Thank you for your kind words George. Ellen, what a lovely thing to say, thank you.

Many thanks Val, glad you like it!

I've not used this brand - an interesting and effective experiment - I will look for them next time I'm buying.

This is excellent Fiona - lovely colours.

Love the colours and the marks Fiona, a real eye catcher.

Andrew, pol will be stocking the brand that I used for this in their new shop. Thank you for your lovely comment. Martin, Shaun, Carole……many thank for your encouraging kind comments.

Love the painting. Not sure about the title: rather ominous!

Thanks Janet. I know what you mean about the title, I could have had a little more thought about it.

Has a beautiful abstract feel.

Thank you very much Sandra, appreciate your comment.

12”x12” acrylic ink, touch of oil pastel and graphite on Saunders paper. Title meant in a non expletive manner! Location, Reed Lochan but a bit further on from the last acrylic ink posting of a few weeks ago.
