I really like this piece, Fiona, particularly the controlled yellow and its blend into the redness of the plum.

Lovely painting Fiona, well done

Stunning little vignette. Great blend of colours.

Thank you Lionel, it's the first time I've tried these inks....they flood lovely into wet paper. I put the yellow all over first then dropped the crimson and blue into it next. They mix lovely together. Thank you Petra, Larry and Thea for your kind comments, I hope to get back into doing more than doodles now my visitors have gone.

Fantastic, you must be delighted with this one! I would be and I've got to get hold of these inks!....

I agree with the above comments, Fiona: very well done!

Thank you Mia, thank you Louise.....Louise, I first came across these inks through a friend who I go out sketching with. She's a professional artist ( in pastels mainly) and uses these to do preliminary sketches whilst out. It's a cheap travel set of twelve colours....which are very bright. You can buy them in powdered form to mix with warm water, but these are in blocks. I'll put a couple of other doodles I did with them to show the brightness of the colours...which I wouldn't have put up for reasons you will see!!!!

Delightful little piece - great use of a little used medium

Lovely use of colour, Fiona. I've not used these inks, but you have a delightful little picture here.

Thank you Michael, thank you Pat....the colours are a bit scary, but the way they melt into a wet wash is fabulous.

This is beautiful, Fiona - simple yet stunning!

Thank you for taking the time to comment Seok.

This is a quick doodle of two first's for me, the first picked plum and the first time I've had a go with coloured block inks. Apologies for the quality of the picture...I scanned it.
