Rain Soaked Steading

A lovely, loose watercolour Fiona. I love the atmosphere you have created in it.

Nice one Fiona

Love you loose style watercolours Fiona they are always so well painted. Can’t wait to see what’s over the hill , I’m looking forward to seeing what you discover .

Very atmospheric, Fiona!

Love your watery scenes Fiona. Makes me happy to be indoors.

Enjoying your discoveries through your atmospheric paintings Fiona. Gives a real sense of place.

i love the looseness of this painting...looking forward to seeing the view over the top.

Good one, Fiona. It really picks up the weather conditions at the moment! Great loose style.

I can see you’re exploring your new area Fiona? This feels like a very wet day. We are catching up with our dry summer!

Excellent Fiona. I can only admire your spirit in getting out there.

Another good one Fiona, get your hiking boots on and show us what is over the top.

It does look very wet! - must be exciting exploring a new area.

A lovely, misty rain-soaked landscape - pretty rain-soaked here today too!

It’s certainly welly and Mac weather out there…..more to come tomorrow! Thanks everyone, your feedback is always welcome.

Another of your loose but excellent watercolours Fiona. You are managing to capture a great atmosphere with these works.

This is great, Fiona. Lovely and loose.

Getting damp in the process as well Shaun, thank you. Very kind Mia, thank you very much.

Impressive for something captured in the field. I’m a coward and pack up at the first hint of rain!

Lively rain soaked day Fiona. I think this is what we expect nowadays although I would like the day to be as colourful as your painting.

Thanks Andrew. There were one or two puddles on the paper, that splodge in the middle for example….lol. Carole thank you. I’ve lived in particularly rainy areas for the last 20 years, I think I’ve become immune to wet, grey days….lol. I do appreciate the sun when I see it though.

Sketchbook watercolour. A two mile walk up from the Nethan river, on the slopes of pasture fields….I want to get to the top and see what’s on the other side. I’ve a feeling it looks out on to moorland and hills beyond….perhaps my next sketch.
