A Sisters Request - after Lowry

Certainly not a dreadful mess Fiona! I must admit to not being a great fan of Lowry even though I was born a Lancashire lass but I find this interpretation of yours rather appealing.

Fiona, didn't realise this was yours when I first saw it. Like Val, I think it is rather appealing, and the colours are lovely.

Not a mess at all.... Fi on you, Fiona for thinking that!! I love the lines, the simplicity, the limited palette etc, etc, etc! and was immediately drawn to it.

I looked at this and thought ' ooh , I like this, it's very Lowry ' then I saw your comment ! I don't see a mess I think it's rather charming and , as I'm a Lowry fan too, I expect your sister will love it.

It almost has that feeling of coming out of a dream or maybe just going into one. The composition and lines also remind me of Munch's Scream

What lovely comments from you all, I thank you very much. I don't pretend to be a huge fan of Lowry but he's my sisters favourite, so I indulge her with the odd attempt at his paintings. I have another two to do and she will pick the one she prefers. I'm not sure what the medium is that Lowry did this painting in, it looks like a graphite sketch. Thank you all again x
