Lovely image Fiona.

Very strong composition and a well thought out idea

Lively drawing Fiona, once you make a start there will be no stoping you!

Thank you very much Brian, I rushed it a bit just to get it done! Many thanks David, appreciate your kind comment. Oh I hope so Stephen, thank you very much!

Nice drawing, Fiona.

It’s a great sketch Fiona with lovely detail.. I hope you get your mojo back soon x

Hi Fiona, I have just posted a message in the Forum, it might boost you up. And now I find this piece from you. He looks well balanced that chap.

There's so much going on here, good job with the great composition and details.

It’s refreshing to see a good pencil drawing, Fiona .

I like this Fiona. I particularly like the way you've draw the trees and foliage, and the sense of distance. (I recognize your feeling about not being able to get into gear, I'm that way myself at the moment. I have several ideas for paintings but just can't get started. All I'm doing is fiddling around in sketchbooks. But tomorrow...??)

This is just lovely, Fiona... welcome back! Hope your motivation returns, as you're a very gifted artist...

This is very good. Sometimes thinking time is just as productive. You then start 'work' with gusto when the energy comes back.

Great sketch Fiona, I do hope that taking a break works for you too.

A wonderful drawing Fiona. I do know what you mean about the inclination I have none either. I have been doing little scrap pieces with inks and watercolour trying to make something work! Never fear all will return 💕

Superb again, Fiona! no stopping you now! No slacking, either!!!

Nice to see such a lovely sketch from you while you have been having a difficult time with your art. I am in the same position at the moment with family illness stopping me getting in the "art groove".

Lovely sketch Fiona....also interesting to read how may of us are lacking a tad at the moment... haven't been able to do anything since losing my sister in March ...lots of ideas but can't get going. Am off on 4 day art holiday next week...hopefully will inspire me! :)

Oh it's so good to see you back Fiona, and back to a great sketch, lovely work 😀

Thank you Seth! Me too Rachel, thank you for your comment. Thanks for that John......I’ll take a look at your post on the forum. Thank you David, appreciate your feedback. Sylvia, thank you 😊 I saw your Iris photo and played about with some pastels, it’s a mess but it gave me a push to finish this.

We’ve missed your posts Fiona, so good to see this lovely drawing.i especially like the trees and fence on the left and the way you’ve shown the dark tones showing through. I just hope your guy is not going to fall Offf his perch, he looks a bit precarious!

Many thanks Lewis.....I think fiddling around leads us on through the sticky bit, hope you get to the other side...lol. Jan, what a lovely thing to say, thank you very much. Thanks Gudrun, I’m hoping this has kick started me! Sandra, thanks very much.....I keeping my fingers crossed! Carole.....we need a challenge! Lol. Sorry you’re suffering as well, I know it will come back but I hate this in-between feeling. Keep playing! Lol......thank you Thalia......that’s just what I need, a kick in the pants!

I’m sorry to hear that Tony, I hope all will be well. Thank you for your kind support. Sylvia I can understand the loss of your sister effecting your motivation, I hope both your loss and motivation will be easier to bear with time. Thank you for your comment, appreciated. Ha ha.....yes Linda, like the bad penny! Lol 😂 I’ve got one or two pieces of rubbish to post, I thought it might give everyone who is struggling, hope! Lol. Thanks very much.

So pleased to see you back Fiona & I really like this sketch. It's amazing what you can produce with just a pencil -& of course your talent.

Thank you Tessa, that’s very kind of you. The tree and fence are my favourite bits! Carol, thank you! I don’t know about the talent bit but yes, some people can do amazing things with just a pencil, or indeed even charcoal! Hope you’re well!

Like your sketch Fiona. Sometimes it's hard to get motivated - I'm like that at the moment - have to have everything else done first - but a drawing is a good idea without having to get involved with paint.

That's a lovely country scene and you've drawn it so well Fiona, the texture from the paper you've used adds something to it too.

Another super sketch.

Nice sketch Fiona, good pieces make you think beyond the detail and what's the story. I think the rogue is clearly working out how to poach the lairds pheasant.

I know what you mean Maureen...got to do the hoovering, ironing, shopping, gardening....it goes on and on, before you can go out to play! Lol And each time you walk past your work station/studio you say, I must do something. Go for a pencil sketch, quick, easy and no mess! Thank you for your lovely comment. Many thanks Val, I quite like the texture of this paper for drawings, you can’t be too precise though, which suits my terrible skill with a pencil....lol Thanks very much Richard! Stevan, I think you’ve got him sussed. Just over the fence on the left is the Lairds release pens, he’s waiting until roosting time then he’ll get his long stick with a noose at the end to bag himself a nice plump brace! Lol 😂 Thank you, appreciate your comment.

Wondered where you'd been :D What a way to make a comeback! It's brilliant!

I’ve been up to mischief Keith....lol....thanks very much for your fab comment. What have you been up to lately?

A few small pictures, i will get around to posting them soon. Spent most of the last 12 months helping with the organising our youngest son's wedding. Stressed to the max, but it's all over now so back to the easel!!!

Phew! That’s a task well over then, look forward to seeing your drawings/paintings Keith.

16”x12” pencil sketch on rough watercolour paper. Sorry folks for my lack of comments on the gallery, I haven’t found the time or inclination to do any thing arty for ages. I’ve been nibbling away at this now and again and I’m getting sick of it....lol. Anyway it’s a start, I’m not lacking in ideas I just can’t get myself into gear.....
