Kraken?

Comments

I definitely can see two dragons in the painting - love it!

Like it Fiona , definitely two dragon heads in there .

Oh yes, I can definitely see Kraken here, fluid, inconspicuous before the attack. Excellent Fiona, great colours.

Two headed dragon Fiona, love the colours too..

Wow lovely Fiona ! 🥰

I'm seeing a fierce battle between two dragons here, Fiona!

Lol….you’re as daft as me! Thanks to you all x

Really like this Fiona, love those colours. I can see a fish,!

A really good abstract Fiona. Im not sure if this is the right way but I have heard some artists say that they start out with no idea at all what they are going to do, they just load the canvas up until they have finished and let the painting speak for its self.

Don’t Wake it Fiona…an assault of colour…

Definitely a serpentine dragon or sea serpent in there. He must have been floating around in your subconscious while you were making this.

I love the colours you’ve used in this Fiona!

Yes, I can see a dragon, super use of colour

Love these abstract ink and watercolour paintings on the Yupo effect paper, Fiona. Great colour combination - and can definitely see the dragon.

I preferred your previous abstract, perhaps it’s the colours in this one!

Love it, Fiona. I like the turquoise mingling with the black and ochre. I can see dragons!

Thank you very much, I like reading your comments, ideas and guesses. They are simple bits and pieces to fit in between drying oils. No previous conception, just doodling and seeing what comes out by turning it 360 degrees. Thanks again!

Brilliant. Still love you and your work Fiona. Happy Christmas.

Thank you Michael, love you too ❤️

Really like this lively abstract Fiona. I never think that I have to see what's there. I just appreciate the shapes and colours in abstract paintings. However, if I look for things in this one, I definitely see a dragon. Or, could be a fish, swimming in water, a stream maybe!!!

Hi Louise, I agree with you, it doesn't need to mean anything. Using this as an example, I like the way the watercolour and the ink has split and formed their own textures and patterns. Even the dots and dribbles are so random, it doesn’t look contrived. Thanks for commenting. Are your girls going to be partying this Christmas? Hope you’ll post a snap shot of their party frocks before they hit the city lights!

I did look hard for one of those 'b' things in this painting but couldn't see one, just the water..lol Don't think the girls are going out this year now. Their party was cancelled. Hopefully all will get better soon. Have a lovely Christmas Fiona. Best wishes to you and your family and I must add, I always enjoy seeing your super paintings here!

Thank you Louise, that’s very kind of you. I hope you have a very happy Christmas with your family and that you will be able to see and speak to your granddaughter on Skype or similar. Let’s hope the New Year will bring a safe opportunity for you to travel to Spain to see them x Shame about the girls having to cancel, they ought to have their own ‘Bubble Ball’ .

Love it Fiona, lovely colours

Thank you David x

You've created some really superb textures and layers, Fiona. It's a gorgeous piece! Merry Christmas!

Thank you Seok, and a Merry Christmas to you too!

Definitely reflections and looking through the water. On is it a Kelpie?

Ah yes Linda, a Kelpie! Thank you.

Messing around with watercolour and Indian ink on photography paper again. It it’s me longer to find something in the image that looks familiar, than it does to create it!
