Thank you very much ladies for your lovely kind words. I lived in the Lincolnshire fens once upon a time and when there looked as if it was going to be a spectacular sunset I would get on my pushbike, for a mad dash of a mile or so, to the best spot to see it. Never disappointed.

I doubt I could swing my leg over a bicycle seat never mind ride one back to Lincolnshire. Lucky you Sarah, a visit to the Isle of Eels. Ely is a lovely place, one of my favourite antique hunting places, especially the three floor old warehouse by the quayside. Have a great time, don’t forget your paints.

Beautiful colours and perspective, wonderful fresh feel about this sketch/painting. You know how fond I am of your watercolours and yes I have tried out old Holland but a bit concerned about there lightfast ratings, to many confusing reviews and very expensive. But does not deter from this beauty though! Keep them coming and I am just going back over the ones I missed?👍

I also lived in Lincolnshire not so long ago and there were definitely some spectacular sunsets in those 'big skies'. This is lovely Fiona; you have really done the Fens justice!

The Fens are not far from me, in fact I used to live on the fens .... Your work encapsulates the look and feel of them.
