Lovely Fiona nice arty painting.

I had a little play at monoprint using oil pastels mixed with baby oil ( I watched a simple YouTube after seeing your Moorings) I now appreciate the skill required!

Really lovely piece, Fiona. You've captured a range of tones and created shapes that move the eye around. And thank you, too, for taking the time to reply to my query on your earlier monoprint. It was very educational and something to store away for experimenting at a later date!

Full of movement and I love the limited colour palette, Fiona.

They may not be there but I am seeing mussels, scallops, limpets and top left a razor shell among the debris, but then I may also see cows jumping over the moon at times :)), great patterns and again food for the mind and imagination Fiona, nice one.

Another beauty Fiona, achieved with few colours.

I really love the variety of work you produce. Beautiful textures and shapes

Like it Fiona, lot hidden in there.

Thanks you very much Dennis.....hope you’re well. Lol.....you’ve tried something I haven’t Katy, oil pastels and baby oil. I sometimes thin down either oil paint or oil bars with a little turps, to give them more liquidity. Thank you for your lovely comment and I’m glad you gave monoprinting a go.

Thanks very much Seok. Did you receive my email with the link etc? Mia, many thanks for your comment. There are all kind of shells, weed, pebbles of all sizes etc....glad you enjoyed looking for them, and thank you. Richard, Diana, Paul , thank you all for your lovely feedback.

You have certainly given us plenty to think about and unravel. You’re so brave to tackle such difficult subject matters and unusual mediums. A very interesting work of art Fiona.

I love the abstract feel to this, Fiona. Beautifully done.

Now I really love this: the composition, colours. Great print.

Michael, Carole, Ellen, Gudrun, thank you all very much. Your feedback makes me look more deeply in to this kind of thing that I do. I don’t always see anything other than what I have in my mind.

I am really enjoying the abstract quality of you work Fiona.

Hi Fiona, yes I did, thanks very much! Sorry, I'm still working out how all the new stuff on this site works, so haven't figured out yet how to reply via email!

Shaun, thank you. Yes I like the unpredictability of monoprinting for an abstract theme, difficult to control sometimes!

No problem Seok, hope you pick up some ideas. I realise that Dan’s style is not to everyone’s taste or his methods but it opens a new way of printing.

Worked very well Fiona - limited colours are great.

Thanks very much Margaret.

20”x14” monoprint on news print paper using oil paint. When you look closely at a section/area of beach, it’s amazing what’s there, all muddled up together and overlapping.
