I've seen this progress on the Forum, great eagle owl Paul

That is so good Paul! Wonderful painting of the owl in action!

Oh that poor little rabbit! Those claws! Excellent work Paul.

Very interesting choice of subject Paul. Takes the viewer straight into the scene and makes me think what's about to happen next. Amazing work.👏👏

Thank you Heather, David, Marjorie and Harman for your kind comment. I wanted to leave it do that the viewer made the choice of what happened next , did the rabbit jink away at the last minute, you make up you own ending Harman. I also did not do the catch as it’s unsettling for some people .

In full flight Paul run rabbit run rabbit run run run. Super painting of your Owl as always.

Super painting Paul, lovely detail and interesting scene.

Wow. Lovely painting Paul. Thoughs claws 😱 came out lovely. Poor ranbit though

Beautiful owl and I like how you have caught the rabbit as if it just about to swerve. That's my ending anyway- the rabbit escapes this time!

Thank you Chris, David, Denise, Faye , Sarah and Michale for your very kind comments. So good when people read a story into a painting and decide the ending to suit themselves. To be controversial go owl go.

Great action painting Paul! Very good movement in your owl and rabbit…..hope he got away.

I’ve missed a few days so only just spotted this Dixie and it jumped out at me! Great action, movement and storyline. I’m 50/50 owl and rabbit, maybe lucky we can’t see the next frame, but that’s nature!

Thank you Fiona and Tessa for your kind comments they are appreciated. It is what happens Tessa, no supermarket for owls , catch it or starve. There is something about watching a bird of prey make a kill, sad but at the same time exciting.

Very good Owl closing in on the doomed Rabbit !!

Thank you Richard for your comment it is much appreciated.

Lovely owl, great details

So well done Paul, the bird is fabulous.

Thank you Carole for your very kind comment.

A3 watercolour painting on 250 gsm paper . A eagle owl on a twilight hunt , I have deliberately kept the background not to fussy so the owl is the feature . Given the detail on the owl it would have been to much having a detailed background as well.it’s the most detailed bowl I have painted to date.
