Had some difficulties with this painting due to all the greens many looking very similar, think it looks ok .

I think it looks very OK Paul!

I also think it looks OK Paul. Greens rule OK!

It's a great painting Paul.

You’ve done a pretty decent job of the greens, and the tonal balance looks good also! Well done indeed Paul!

I like this very much !!!

Thank you Heather, George, Denise, Alan and Valerie, your comments are appreciated and very encouraging. No matter how often I paint a landscape, woodland or anything with several different greens I get a bit anxious about how it looks, so easy for it to look flat .

A good composition Paul, the colour on the buildings bring it all together.

Really good work Paul. Have no doubts…it hits the spot.

A lovely piece of work Paul

John , Lew and Russell many thanks for your comments.

The reds lift it Paul.

A lovely rolling country vista, Paul - I like the way the houses are nestled into the landscape!

Very well done Paul.

Marjorie, Anne , Stephen and Martin thank you for the kind and much appreciated comments.

Great painting, beautiful English countryside

Thank you Romila we do have some great scenery around us.

Beautiful painting Paul

You’ve achieved a good sense of distance here Dixie and also a decent variety of convincing greens. Lovely scene.

I like these panoramic format pictures you do occasionally.

Thank you Andrew and Tessa. I was concerned about the amount of green Tessa, but that what the scene is so many trees. Andrew I like this format, it from a pad I bought in the Range each sheet is cut into three to get the panoramic format , decent paper, cockles but stretches back , 15 sheets for £5:99.

I like the journey you have created. My eye skipped from the house in the foreground to the middle distance buildings to the monument. Very nice construction.

Thank you Nick , I appreciate your comment, pleased you like the journey.

Beautiful bit of countryside Paul, I like it.

Thank you Carole, it a site I see every day, we do become used to such sights and start to take them for granted, until we remind ourselves of how much we admire them .

Nice variety of greens Paul and the wide format really suits.

Watercolour landscape painting looking across the golf course from Cymbeline’s Mount to Coombe Hill , Boar War Monument on the top of one of the highest points on the Chiltern Escarpment. Cheques is to the right of the scene , Wendover is below and behind the hill, Aylesbury and the Vale are to the left, approximately five miles from my home. I have worked on the hill as a NT Ranger.
