This is really lovely Paul. The detail on the old farm building is superb and the cows are lovely.

That is a lovely painting Paul. Love those cows and the run down barn/building adds much to the painting.

Belted Galloways seem to be the moo of the moment Dixie! One of the few breeds I could immediately identify. This is an attractive restful scene very nicely painted and I like your dark tones.

Thank you Spencer , David and Tessa I appreciate your kind comments. Tessa the National Trust uses then quite a bit for grazing I have seen them in front of the Arlington Row of at Bibury it was a couple of years ago I knew the rangers and visited them there. I did mention to Jenny I was doing this painting as I know she likes Belties .

Lovely Paul - I particularly like how you have composed it and the cows are very striking.

This is so beautiful Paul- I adore Belted Galloways and you’ve depicted them perfectly.

The trees, building and cows all work together very well Paul.

Sarah, Rachel, John and Andrew I really appreciate your kind comments. They are beautiful creatures Rachel I was luck enough to work with them in the woodlands and grasslands when I was working as a Ranger all bet it voluntary for the National Trust. I was a bit disappointed with the tree as I made a messed it up and tried to recover it with a sea sponge John all I see it the fault

Excellent picture Paul, well painted.

Good to see the finished painting, Paul, I really like it - lovely subject and composition with some nice strong contrasts.

23x36 cm watercolour of Belted Galloway cattle grazing. An imaginary scene of this tough bread of cattle that is often used in conservation work to graze on rough ground. I have worked with them and seen one demolish a very large and thick bramble bush including the stems and thorns. I have painted then best which is the most common colour but occasionally you see dark red to ginger one . Continuing my old building theme .
