Low Scrubs

Like the gentle colour Paul.

Beautiful and so serene!!

Thanks Marjorie I was trying to get that almost white out look where every colour etc is so subdued, and it’s hard to see detailing.

Thanks David we were typing at the same time I think .

Delicately done Paul, lovely scene.

Love it, one of your best

Denise and Valerie thank you for your kind comments.

Tones so well together.

Subdued and quiet…..the silence is deafening Paul. Lovely.

Thank you Stephen and Fiona. I was working in this area quite a few years ago and it started to snow , within an hour it was about six to eight inches deep as so silent the only noice seemed to be me breathing as I put the tools away . The following day I went up in the Land Rover to do safety checks, the only thing up there was a stag who stood looking at me as if to say go away your ruining the peace and quiet.

Well painted, nice composition and colour 👍

Subtle colour, I like it very much.

Thank you Stephen and Lew for taking the time to look and comment it’s appreciated.

It's intriguing story behind this painting, and the painting itself is Intriguing too ;) Those trees ... I adore these trunk shapes and curves, no leaves gives it and atmospheric look...

A simple delicate painting, very good.

Art, Andrew and Spencer thank you for your kind comments they are appreciated.

A4 watercolour of a area of woodlands known as Low Scrubs. The ares is full of old coppice beech, chestnut and a couple of oaks , it was many years ago an allotment set aside for the local old and poor to collect fire wood. The old coppice stools and pollard look fantastic with all the odd shapes and twisting stems . My painting is imaginary snow scene as the only photo I have when I worked up there is set in autumn.
