Love the way the engine stands out against the grey background!

Another good one Paul

I love that rust colour , I also like the sense there is a landscape behind, like this one Paul.

I love the slate area of North Wales Dixie, great colours as you say. A good old rusty engine too.

David Heather, Valerie and Tessa thank you for your kind comments.

Smashing painting Paul.

Great result Paul.

Thank you Denise and Carole for you kind comments.

Very typically North Welsh Paul - that orange stands out really well against the lovely slatey greys and blues.

Nice one Paul. And I have seen a face in the end of that engine, and now I can't un-see it!

Great!! The guys at my art group are on the same track as you!!!

Sarah , Andrew and Rachel thank you for your comments. I notice the face as I was working on it Andy that’s all I now see .m

Really good Paul.

Thanks Stephen for you kind comment.

I like the rusty colours and I spotted the "face" which made me smile - lovely, Paul!

A4 in A3 mount watercolour painting of a old Hunslet steam engine in the remains of the upper engine shed at Dorothea Quarry, Tal y Sarn North Wales . Inspire by several old photos of quarry buildings . I am always attracted to these old engines and buildings the contrast of the rusty engines against the blue , purple grey of the slate just appealed to me, I enjoyed the challenge.
