Super sketch Paul.

That is so good, Paul!!!!

Great picture Paul.

Not only is this very clear what shapes/parts we are looking at, your treatment of it it has the appropriate feel of an aged and characterful truck.

Andrew, David , Stephen, Russell and Gerry thank you for your comments they are really appreciated.

Excellent, Dixie. This is the condition I see quite a few very old vehicles at the back of sheds. It's a shame they haven't had some sort of renovation before it got to far to do anything with. Lovely work.

Super sketch Paul

Beautifully drawn with great attention to details - super, Paul!

Thank you Christine, Carol , George and Anne .

Beautiful and so much telling, especially the dismounted wheel. But tell me, why are two on the load platform?

Thank Regloh , often these old vehicles came with a spare wheel, sometimes slung in a carrier underneath the flatbed, sometimes mounted upright behind the cab . I chose to do the painting with a wheel off and the spare just dumped on the truck as it’s derelict.

Excellent sketch Paul.

Great discovery and well done!

Really good, as always , love it !

Rusty and beautiful 😍

I love a gel pen! This is fabulous really good work

Thank you Valerie, Faye and Jen , I appreciate your comments .

Pen and watercolour sketch of a rusting old truck,. I’ve just started a new pad solely for old vehicles, of of the subject I live to sketch and paint , I have books full,of sketches but don’t usually add colour . Bit of a step back in time sketching truck and using my original watercolour half pan set to add the colour, I thoroughly enjoyed this and found it really relaxing. The small amount of white was added using a white gel pen, a very useful addition to the art box .

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
