Thank you for your comment and taking time to look at my painting. It’s very much appreciated Jan.

I really like this Paul.

A nice, simple sketch that works well. You are doing well to have a go with watercolour in this heat.

Thank you Jacqueline and David . In this heat is a bit challenging but worth the effort David.

I was going to say it looks calm and serene but then somehow this painting evoked a different emotion. It is very expressive, more than you’d realise at first. Does this painting hold any particular story or emotion to you personally as the artist? I hope you don’t mind me asking.

Thanks Jennifer I don’t mind you asking and have private messaged you .

A 4 watercolour on Bockingford paper done wet in wet . As it’s to hot to do any finer details I thought I would play around with a fine spray bottle I let a panting develop within 20 minutes. Loosely based on a misty morning on the Somerset Levels , no pencil line just straight in oth the brush paint and tissue. Limited pallet used , alizarin crimson, Payne’s grey, indigo and purple, still had a few problems with the heat despite trying to keep it wet but not too much.
