That is a lovely painting, Paul. It must bring back great memories!

I like your painting, and this looks a wonderful place for play. Interesting story about the 'legend'. Wild boar...great.

Thank you Carole for your comment, it was very rewarding doing the painting , it’s something I have thought of for a long time and today just did it.

Lovely painting, I am amazed at your multi-tasking Paul - being able to produce such different subjects. Don't know what happened to my first comment - slipped finger.

Thank you Norrette for you kind comments, though I can’t decode the first one . I often get my messages wrong , I think sometimes iPads have a mind of their own

A3 paper , watercolour woodland painting . As a ten year old I lived in France and played in the forest at Fontainebleau, this I a painting from memory it was the late 1950s when I was last there. No doubt it looks and look nothing like I have painted it., the local villagers would not go near these rocks as legend had it that a hunter was killed there by wild boar 🐗. I remember sitting on top and watching then rummage through the moss etc , probably where my love for woodlands and nature come from .
