I think this is great Paul. Your passion shines out for these machines. I love the simplicity of this work

This IS a decent one Paul! I’ve been following your progress on the forum, it’s turned out exceptionally well, despite your reservations.

Thank you for your very kind comments Dorothea and Fiona.

I agree, it has turned out really well - particularly like how you managed to show the smoke/steam.

I can smell oil and steam Dixie! Smashing.

Thank you for your kind comments Margaret and Tessa, they are very much appreciated particularly as I am a little unsure of the painting. It’s one of those things where small part didn’t go as you wanted and that’s all you see.

I agree with the comments Paul. We all think we're not sure about this or that in a painting, but there are always snippets there that you take forward to the next. Perseverance, perseverance, perseverance. Well done. 👍

I like your choice of colours here Paul. I know what you mean when a small part " niggles" but anyone else who looks doesn't see that, they see the " whole" and this works very well.

Thank you Bill and Marjorie for you encouraging comments.

A3 watercolour, experiment as I tried to do as little detail as possible, for me anyway. Not a hundred percent sure of it. I found it challenging but very rewarding, I find trains hard to draw and paint but love the challenges, I will do a decent one one day.
