Earlie’s to market

Comments

Love it Paul. Beautiful painting. Liking the richer colours. Great compostion too 👍

That is really good, Paul and another very good horse painting!!

A lovely, interesting scene Paul and an excellent painting.

Many thanks Faye , David and Denise for your kind comments, I’m really enjoying doing these imaginary scenes. I found doing the cart wheel quite difficult, particularly the partial one , it needed several attempts before I was ok with it. I’m finding it very relaxing painting and sketching horses for some reason.

You’re on a roll Paul! A great composition and painting.

Very nice, and a lovely addition with your last drawing too.

Christine, Carrie and Michael thank you for you comments they are appreciated. They were the days of my youth also Michael, I’m throughly enjoy a nostalgia trip at the moment with my sketch and paintings.

Another lovely horse painting Paul.

A lovely scene that you have depicted well.

A lovely pastoral scene Paul. A good horse & cart in a fine array of farm buildings and have to admit I'm the right age to fully appreciate these nostalgic scenes.

Anne , Avril and Brian thank you for your kind comments. Welcome to the club Brian, it surprising that thing we took for granted , and did not really notice as kids or even adults suddenly become a thing of thoughts etc.

As said Paul, very good horse and the wheel has come out very well, not easy, have tried a stagecoach a few times myself !

Thank you Richard and Alan for taking the time to look and comment. It’s surprising how difficult a simple thing can be , it’s a bit like doing it wrong to get it right if that makes sense Richard .

Interesting narrative and another lovely painting Paul

Nicely observed and well painted Paul.

Many thanks Heather and George for your comments much appreciated.

Excellent Paul. This oozes nostalgia, smashing piece.

Thank you Fiona, your comments are always appreciated.

A moment in time, nicely depicted. Lovely composition and palette, Paul.

Nice country feel painting Paul.

Thank you Alan for your comment and taking the time to look at my painting.

A3 watercolour set in the 1940/ 50s farmer taking his potato’s to market in the early morning. Theses days we have new potatoes all year round , farmers grew Earlies , Mid season and Lates . There was always a rush to get the earlies to market as the old potato’s were getting past their best. Usually the first on the market were Jersey Royal , imported from the Channel Islands .
