Good one Paul, I think you’ve achieved the translucency well, it makes a lovely picture. I know that feeling of over fiddling so well, sometimes only we can see it!

Love the colours,and I think the hips do look heavy and the berries translucent.

A5 watercolour, used photos taken last autumn and selected parts to build up the painting . I was hoping to achieve the translucency of the berries and the heavy look of the hips. I’m a bit disappointed with the outcome particularly the centre leaf, on a whim I added to much green , removed it and now it a bit overworked . My bad habit , just giving into the urge to just touch or dabble a bit more .
