Never mind the vibrancy, soak up the atmosphere.

I like the colour palette here Paul, that's a lovely clear passage of blue the barge is in - very atmospheric!

A4 in A3 mount watercolour, sailing barge becalmed in the early morning sunrise. I wanted to see how quick I could paint this in the extreme heat yesterday, did the majority in about and hour but stopped as it became far to hot . Added the rigging with pencil later in the day , unfortunately can’t get the vibrancy to show as well as it actually looks. Don’t know how all those artist on the grand tour coped with the heat.
