Another good one Paul

Good variety of boats, shapes and designs Paul. Love the intimacy of this little Cornish village.

Love your series on boats and harbours, Paul and this is another fine example. I generally have "problems" painting boats but you have cracked it!!

Smashing painting Paul and the buildings look great.

Thank you Heather, Carole, David and Denise for you comment they are appreciated. As I said in the narrative I’m trying to make the series look slightly different by changing style a bit , I’m not to sure if it’s worked on this . Probably because it’s not a detailed as I would normally work.

I think it’s worked well Dixie and a good idea to seek variety in style and content. Wish I was there!

Thank you Tessa , I would love to be there as well , painting or just relaxing would be fine. I suppose I’d have to do a Sylvia and have a G&T, not my favourite drink I must admit.

Lots of interest Dixie.

Lovely painting Paul. Lovely boats and really like the one on right close to us. Village looks cute too 😁

Looks like a section of Polperro harbour Paul, a wonderful place for painting! Great job anyway, lively and colourful!

This has such a lovely atmospheric feel to it. Beautifully done, Paul!

Thank you Sylvia, Faye and Alan for your kind comments. It is based loosely on Polperro Alan I had that in mind when painting.

Thank you Seok for you very kind comment. I must have been writing when you posted your comments.

A nice collection of boats & you have captured the essence of a Cornish Harbour.

Excellent perspectives in the Village and colourful boats !

Your comments are appreciated Brian and Richard, many thanks .

A complicated scene handled beautifully Paul.

It's working well, Paul

Beautiful painting

Thank you Romila for your kind comment.

This is beautiful. So delicate.

Thank you Carrie your comment is appreciated.

I love the composition and colours..very nice.

Thank you Denise, I found this a bit odd to paint ax I normally do more detail , but I thing boats and old cottages lend themselves to painting.

Nice composition Paul, I like the steps taking you up to the town painted in lovely delicate colours .

Thank you Gillian for your kind comments.

The shape of the boats are brilliant, a lovely composition.

Thank you Judith for you kind comment.

A4 watercolour on Bockingford rough . Another in my fishing boat series, loosely based on on a Cornish harbour but with imaginary parts. I’m attempting to use slightly different styles as well as different types of boats .

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
