Thank you David , Denise and Carole for your kind comments. I did it fast Denise otherwise I would have fiddled with the sedge and overworked it. I do believe that to do a painting like this fast is good practice and you don’t have time to think about is to much.

A fifteen to twenty minutes watercolour and pencil sketch of a boat in the marshes , about a4 in size . Inspired by watching a program about the marshlands in southern Iraq, apart from the weather reminded me of the Norfolk Broads, oh and not so many tourists either.
