Nice sketch Paul , I love the heavy horses especially the shires , big giants with a gentle manner

Lovely old shire horse Paul, such wonderful creatures

Looks as if he’s about to neigh Paul. Lovely sketch.

Aw... he's lovely, Paul!

Lovely sketch Paul. A beauty

Thank you Dennis, Heather, Carole, Christine, Anne and Faye for your very kind comments.

Lovely pencil work Paul, these chaps aren’t that easy to get right!

Super drawing Paul…..I remember reading a book about Shires, when I was a slip of a lass called ‘Gentle Giants’, can’t remember the authors name. I have ridden a shire, for a large horse they can get a shift on when the mood takes them! His name was Toby.

Another beauty Paul ! You are getting to be something of an expert at horse sketches.

Thank you Alan, Fiona , Richard for you kind comments . I was luck enough to ride one up and down the fields as a child , they are so gentle as you say Fiona . Thank you for the compliment Richard I go really enjoy painting of sketching them .

A gentle giant Paul.

Lovely sketch of such a gentle breed, Paul.

Val and Jenny thank you for your kind comments.

Excellent sketch. You've caught the power in these wonderful horses.

Wow, Paul - another good one!!!!!

Thanks Lew and David for your comments.

Lovely pencil work Paul.

Thank you Denise and Romila for you kind comments they are appreciated.

A rather handsome, well drawn chap Paul !

The character shines through your painting

Thank you Moira , I try to get individual , personality look as they are in the pad I’m producing for my granddaughters. Ultimately I want then to add words to the blank page , whilst they are young and more willing to say how they see it not what they think they should say.

Pencil sketch in my granddaughters pad , old shire horse . Used the Yorkshire way of old fella, as that’s how my grandad would have said it.
