I agree - that looks good!!

Love the contrasts between sharp and diffused. Good work Diana

Super, Diana, very impressive!

I like it a lot too~~!

Wow Diana. This has a life of its own. Superb harmony and fluidity and so, so enchanting.

Very nice Diana 😌

Very nice, love it

It's beautiful Diana.

It has a lovely effect to it Diana.

Lovely, it's a super effect, worked so well.

Like how it blurs out, or as you say, softening.

Absolutely beautiful , wish I could paint like this!

I do like your softening, works beautifully.

That’s beautiful Diana.

A real beauty Diana.

As ever, I’m bowled over with so many encouraging messages. I couldn’t decide if this piece was acceptable or an unholy mess. I do like areas though. Thank you David. For someone who has had success in her artwork, I really struggle with self confidence 😂 Thank you Martin. I like that too. Thank you Mia. It’s interesting that I’m wanting watercolour type qualities.

Thanks so much Marjorie. I value your opinion. Thanks Coral. I enjoyed looking at your work too. Thanks again Heather. Your ongoing support means a lot. Thank you Carole. I may have overdone the blends but I prefer this to the way I left it.

Thanks Stephen. I’m really pleased you think so. Thanks so much Linda I always appreciate your interest and support. Many thanks again Romila. I took the small oil painting of the cat for framing. It’s a whole new world when I’ve only framed paper works.

Thanks so much Lynne . I love the feeling of excitement in exploring unfamiliar mediums. I have used oils a bit but very little and not for a year.

Thanks for your comment Denise . I’m looking forward to attempting another floral of my magnolia before it finishes for the year. Thanks Collette. I’m enjoying the water mixable oils because even the ‘kinder’ solvents gave me a headache with traditional oils. However, I have a great hoard to use. Thank you Jenny. I like variety of focus too. That’s so kind Valerie. Honestly, it was easier to sweep a brush over it than paint the subject carefully 😂 I’m really pleased that you like it Tessa. I’m certainly enjoying myself. Thanks so much Michael. It’s interesting how viewers of artwork have favourite styles and palettes. Thanks Fiona. Developing a style is nearly impossible for me as I love variety!

I really like the way the blending gives liveliness to the picture..the glass and water are ace

I just love this, Diana.

This works really well for me.

I returned to this 13x9’’ oil on board because I wanted to add some variation of line in areas. I did get completely carried away with the blending but I do like the in / out focus look.
