Thanks so much everyone. I was really inspired for this one as the first in a series about the meadow. The subject keeps on giving though and I'm bound to return to it periodically. I have an article out in July's The Artist Magazine (September Edition) explaining my approach to painting the meadow at a different time of year and therefore a different mix of plants.

A low level study of a meadow near to my studio. It is so special having never had pesticides or crops on it. Each month its character completely changes as flowers die back and are replaced with a different colour scheme. At the moment pink orchids stud the grasses.
