I'm usually a little hesitant to comment on portraits and figure paintings as I have very little experience with regard to them, but I really like this piece. The composition and pose is excellent, and there's so much personality and vitality in the piece. Superb work.

This is a beautiful portrait Catherine, no need to say anything else! I've just seen your wonderful 'gallery' and it's inspired me to 'have a go' at painting a portrait with water colour - very scary!

My neighbours' teenaged daughter agreed to sit for me for this full length oil on canvas portrait - such composure just at that terrifying stage of exams and life choices. The pose contains several references to her full and happy life.
