A superb piece Alan , skilfully done telling the with not drawn lines .

I wish my sketchbooks looked like this..... rough as guts by comparison!

These are so good Alan, apparently under stated but full of life and information.

Thanks guys appreciate your support… It isn’t difficult Robert, get the watercolours out and give it a go! If I can do it, you can!

Fabulous Alan. What size are these 'sketches?'

Other example of the great sketches you make.

Lovely work, as always!

Cheers again for your support, Russell, Stillman & Birn Delta landscape sketchbook… around 5x8in + a bit…

Another great sketch, Alan.

A great doodle Alan.

Nicely done Alan.

Even more impressive at that size Alan!

Great atmosphere as usual Raw and good

Great sense of depth and distance. Love the tones and colours in this fine water colour Alan.

Your sketchbook work feels so free. It's impressive how you've captured the complex structure of a dockside crane with such effortless, spontaneous brushstrokes. The balance between the structural ink lines and the loose watercolor washes is brilliant. It gives the industrial subject a beautiful, airy quality. I must admit, your approach to this medium is masterful. It is, without question, one of the most evocative watercolor sketches I have encountered in a long while.

Wonderful comment Lea… thank you!
