Love the use of colours in this one, Alan! They add so much effect!

Yes the colour harmony works very well Alan.

A delightful painting Alan, with beautiful use of colour.

I do like a good boat painting Alan this is up there with the best, it would frighten me just thinking about painting it so loose .

Lovely colour choices here, and I’m with Paul on the subject of the loose painting style.

Thanks guys, it was in need of a coat of paint as I recall! Much more interesting in this state though…

Excellent use of colour Alan 🙂

Oh, this is lovely and the use of colour wonderful

Beautiful colours 😍

Brilliant Alan, the placement of colour, the subject matter, the loose figures make a stunning painting.

This is different, I love the colours.

Another very satisfying painting Alan. The longer I look at it the better it gets.

Gorgeous palette, Alan

It looks so sad to have finished its busy life at sea. Great harmony of colour and brushwork Alan.

Still in daily use Carole! Or was when I sketched it a few years back now…

Beautiful colours Alan - so vibrant

I’m interested in that rather abstract foreground Alan.

Super use of limited colour palette. Beautifully painted.

Just love the colours Alan, real WOW factor.

Excellent tones and colours Alan - this is a beautiful painting.
