Freshwater Bay towards Niton.

Freshwater Bay towards Niton.

Once again, you've nailed the atmosphere, Alan. The palette contributes enormously to the overall mood, from the sky to the cliffs. Love the white touches indicating the geology of the area. Very effective and most appealing painting. Brian

You're getting nearer and nearer to my own lovely home (tee hee - my 'lovely home' isn't known as the Batcave for nothing). I like the way the white cliffs seem to be holding back the land in this one, and the sweep of coast, which would indeed take you to Niton, past St Catherine's Point. I particularly like the way the light catches that central stretch of cliff - just perfectly stated: caught exactly.

A cracker Alan, as they say practice makes for perfect.

Very moody and atmospheric...I like it very much. I think this wide format adds much to landscapes.

I like your panoramic paintings, Alan. This is a beauty.

This palette really attracts me Alan and a few more moves and it would be into abstract.

That's a great response so many thanks, I'm so pleased you like it. Thanks for the clarification Robert, I was expecting you to know of course.

Love the panoramic theme Alan, and the soft atmospheric colours. I like the effect without elaborate detail.

I remember visiting Freshwater Bay when we went to the Isle of White years ago, I love the colour palette you have chosen it's got a dream like quality to it 😀

This is just a perfect scene, Alan, capturing atmosphere and beauty in a truly serene way!

What gorgeous blues and pinks in this Alan, it looks lovely!

Really very lovely Alan. Nice work.

Another great addition to your panoramic theme Alan which to me is just verging on the abstract with all the swirls above the cliffs. Congratulations on your award from Patchings, well deserved.

Another good impressionistic and atmospheric painting, Alan.

I love those swirls in the landscape Alan. You always pick the right palette for a certain mood, it works a treat.

Soft and gentle. Not an area I know but it makes you want to go there.

I just love your paintings, Alan. This one is beautiful.

Another cracker Alan

Hang on Studio Wall

Oil on board 25 x 60cm. I think that I have the correct title, but I stand corrected. Continuing the panoramic theme on my latest work, just a couple more to come and then I'll move on. As always, looking for atmosphere rather than concentrating on elaborate detail to detract the eye.
