Looks really good Alan , the figures allow us to see how big the Thames barges are . It was such a good photo I thought it would be useful, you have certainly made it your own .

There’s a couple of compositions left in the photo… I thought I’d start off with pen work so chose the foreground boats, all different sizes which is interesting!

Speechless, as so often.... this shows just how big some of these boats are; you don't always get to appreciate that. And I always enjoy the sharp touches of Alan's pen.

Just pen work on this sketch, a touch of wash in places. Loosely drawn using reference that Paul sent me in the form of an old Thames photo, but I’ve done my own thing as usual - an enjoyable hour spent this morning!
