Like it Alan, can usually recognise your palette.

I like the Ariel view Alan, hard to tell whether you should make the cottages deeper, you don't want to distract from your focal point 😃

I like it, Alan. Fabulous muted colours. I think the cottages are ok as they are, if it was my painting I’d leave it be. However it’s always down to the artist.

Lovely work Alan, I recognised it as yours as soon as I saw it in the top line, very well deserved.

I like this Alan. I'm not one to talk about landscapes, but you asked a question. My eye goes straight to the building at the end of the beach. The shadows on the group of buildings in that area are stronger than those in the foreground. This isn't what you'd expect. That said, the painting works, and I wouldn't have considered this unless you'd mentioned it. It is a painting, not a photograph, and I like it when artists change things for their own purposes. (altering the foreground might throw everything out of kilter).

Lovely atmosphere again Alan, which mistiness gives. Bottom left, maybe a bit stronger in the darks, just at the base perhaps? I'm not thinking about the exhibition!

Like it Alan. Like the sharp lines and your choice of colour, it works well for me :) . I was there last week, beautiful spot.

Looks super Alan, beautiful muted colours.

Love this, Alan. Of course Sennen is an old favourite place of ours to dive. I agree totally with Lewis' comment, the painting works...that's what counts!

Misty and understated - Very good.

This is such a natural painting and captures a mood of sincerity with your muted palette. It works beautifully Alan.

Not sure if you could improve it Alan, looks perfect.

I like the view in this Alan, kind of abstractish, in a way.

Thank everyone for some constructive comments. I've left it as is at the moment, moved on to other stuff.

I knew it was yours Alan, love it .

I like the sea mist feel to this Alan. A lovely perspective too.

Great use of colour - I love the composition. A successful painting.

I think you've achieved what you wanted Alan. My eye goes straight to the lifeboat station. The muted palette works well.

I like the muted colours its a peaceful scene, no one about yet

20 x 20in oil on gessoed MDF. I've tried to simplify the scene as much as possible, concentrating on drawing the eye up to the main focal point of the lifeboat station. I've kept the colours fairly muted, almost pastel shades. I'm not sure if the lower buildings are strong enough in colour, I'll have a think about that one!
