Another of your lovely ink and wash sketches, I really like these!

Another superb example of how it should be done .

Excellent as always Alan!

An ink wash that speaks volumes without unnecessary detail. Very effective Alan.

Great work Alan. Lovely deep shadows

Superb work. Love it all

Really like this Alan - love the tones you have achieved and the balance between detail and loose hints - lovely!

Excellent sketch 👌

Super drawing Alan. Wonderful contrast.

Lovely work once again Alan.

Really like your pen and wash sketches Alan

Agree with Jenny, good one

Intense work, Alan. Look forward to reading your findings with the eco papers.

Another little gem 💎 ✨️ 💛

Your signature pen marks on show in abundance Alan, great tonal sketch.

Oh lovely Alan! I shall learn from this! Beautifully done.

Your paintings always remind me that I work too hard on watercolours. Less is obviously more! I must get there one day as half of my ancestors were born close by and your painting is a lovely invitation.

Thanks guys, this fabulous cathedral isn’t far from where I live, you can see the three spires from miles away!

Very good. Nicely loose but the spires are really sharp.

Love the touch of carbon pencil, Alan, great sketch!

A4 ink and wash drawing from my own reference material, with a touch of carbon pencil for good measure! Hahnemuhle Eco Hemp sketch pad. I’ve got a double feature coming up in TA in the new year, I’ve put their range of eco papers to the test… with interesting results!
