I like the contrast between warm and cold that this painting has achieved in an excellent composition.

Very well painted Alan.

I like this composition and the sky colours particularly. I will probably enter TALP again this year ; all of my pics have been shown on POL in the last 12 months, and I’m not preparing anything new just for the show.

Beautiful Alan. Not sure if I'll be entertaining. Won't be doing anything new but might put something in I've already done.

I really like this one !

The composition is perfect. What a great choice canvas size for this painting, really suits it.

Lovely picture, a great sense of distance too. And to answer your question - no I won't be entering as I never feel my pictures are good enough!

There's a lot to like about this Alan and, yes, I'll be entering again, best of luck to everyone

Love this Alan

Lovely composition Alan. I like the longer format which really shows it off well. Yes I’m giving TALP a go again this year- good luck to everyone who is too.

I like the horizontal format and your gentle palette Alan.

I love the touches of blue , red and yellow - they bring it all together beautifully. Will probably enter though the submission date is making me panic - feel like I've hardly done anything decent for ages and I'm not good under pressure!

Beautiful work, Alan!

Like it Alan.

Excellent, Alan. Very clever satisfying balance.

I thought you might be entering this one Alan….I like the format. I’ll probably enter but I’m not very enthused this year….

Thanks guys, always appreciated! I’m not entering this piece Marjorie… I’m working on some bigger canvases!

A superb painting Alan , I like the format and your use of colour for the trees on the horizon.

Great composition, Alan

I like this landscape a lot - very calming!

I love everything about this painting but particularly drawn to the break in the clouds shedding light on the snowy landscape

Lovely composition and that patch of blue sky is gorgeous. I’ll probably enter TALP again

That’s gorgeous Alan. I love the pop of blue in the winter sky. I’m hoping to enter TALP again, but in common with others, I’m panicked by the much earlier entry date! 😬 I’m not good under pressure!

A month or so left is enough surely… come on, get cracking! I’ve started my fourth and final canvas this morning, a 40x80cm elongated job… subject is Hastings Pier! Hopefully injecting some atmosphere into it!

I really like this Alan.

Love this, especially the wide format, and the beautiful colours.

I saw this and immediately thought of you - just lovely

What a beautiful picture. It brings a sense of peace.

I love the heavy cloud and that gap of blue, the aerial perspective of the various groups of trees and the dabs of white sparkle on the otherwise grey snow in the foreground.

Beautiful scene beautifully painted, as always!👍👍🙏

Love that touch of blue in this great landscape Alan.

Great color and composition

Beautiful, How much do you think is a fair price for me to have the right to use this photo

Oil on stretched canvas 8x 20in, definitely NOT a style I’m looking to develop in the coming year, (my default style), but just a quick practice piece to get me started on some serious work for the upcoming TALP competition. Anyone else entering this year?
